Lower load peaks at the right time.
With atypical grid usage, what counts is the load during the grid operator's peak-load time windows. That is a different task from shaving a short peak.
Know the time window
Check the peak-load time windows published for the site and lay the load profile over them. What matters is how much power the business draws from the grid during these times.
Distinguish power and energy
The storage system must be able to lower the load for the required duration. A high kW value alone is not enough: a long time window needs a correspondingly large usable capacity in kWh.
Clarify the site evidence
The requirements and supporting documents must be checked for the specific connection. A first storage calculation does not replace this check. Bring the load profile, price sheet and connection documents to the meeting.
