What full-load hours say about your site.
Annual consumption divided by annual peak load: this figure shows how evenly a business uses its grid connection.
Calculate the figure
Divide annual consumption in kWh by the highest measured power in kW. The result is full-load hours per year. It is a calculated figure and not the actual running time of production.
Understand the storage effect
If a storage system reduces the annual peak load, full-load hours rise at the same annual consumption. Whether and how this affects grid fees depends on the conditions and rules for the site.
Check the documents
For the calculation you need the complete load profile and the electricity cost documents. High full-load hours alone do not establish a claim to an individual grid fee.
